If you have been running campaigns for awhile on Plenty Of Fish, you may have noticed that some of your campaigns include a link labeled “Download Partial Click Log” which occurs whenever one of your campaigns goes over a thousand combined ad clicks. Inside this file, you will find the demographic info for 500 random clickers of your ads which you can use to spot trends and optimize your POF campaigns.
Although I saw some potential with this data, I wasn’t quite sure what to do with it in its raw form. The file itself is a comma-separated values (CSV) file which you can load up in Excel if you like. I spent a little bit of time trying to figure out how to use pivot tables so I could work with the data, but in the end it seemed too troublesome. I wanted something easier to use, so I ended up coding up a simple POF partial click log viewer using some JQuery and the Google Chart API. What it does is allow you to select a partial click log that you have downloaded to your computer, and it will group and tabulate all the demographic information together. This makes it much easier to detect any trends from this data, and help you improve the targeting of your POF ads.

While it does have its limitations, I have found the tool to be quite helpful in narrowing down my target demographics, and optimizing the CTR of my ads. I’m sure others will find good uses for this tool as well, so please try it out and let me what you think.

Nice tool. Thanks.
Thanks for this tool man. It makes my pof campaign optimizing easier.
This is brilliant – whilst reading this post I was expecting a payment button at the bottom but it’s free. Top work Mr.Fong. Tools that help us read this data help so much!
